Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Lawrence, KS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain and install machinery across multiple manufacturing areas.

The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical work, welding, and reading blueprints, with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. This night-shift role (Sun–Fri, 11:30pm–7:30am) requires safety-forward work and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience demonstrating mechanical and electrical ability.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally; stand, walk, bend and climb as needed.

Job description

• Repair, maintain, and install machinery and equipment

• Work flexibly across different areas and always prioritize safety
• Perform duties in accordance with sound safety practices.

The ideal candidates is:

• Skilled in machinery repair, electrical work, and welding.
• Proficient with electronics, schematics, and ladder logic.
• Experience with lathe, milling machines, and industrial systems.
• Strong in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
• Able to read blueprints, follow safety procedures, and handle hazardous materials.

The hours for this position are Sunday - Friday 11:30pm - 7:30am. Shift may vary +/- 30 minutes on beginning and end of shift time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience that successfully demonstrates mechanical and electrical ability.
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift and carry items weighing up to 50-100 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally.
• Ability to constantly stand and walk. Ability to frequently bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb, and reach at/above shoulder level.
• Ability to frequently work in awkward positions and occasionally work from ladders.
• Must have basic computer skills.

This position is located in Lawrence, Kansas. Relocation is not provided.
