Job Description
This role will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely repairs. Effectively supports the PM program for the plant while ensuring downtime is minimized. Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make needed repairs on equipment. Complete assigned work orders assure all work assignments are completed and accurate records are maintained. Compile tool and parts lists for equipment for ordering. Compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical troubleshooting: pneumatic switches, valves, and cylinders.
- Diagnose, repair gear box, bearing, and conveyor systems problems.
- Must possess trouble be shooting abilities in electrical (relay logic), and general building electrical systems.
- Set up, diagnose, and repair high speed wrapping machines in a time conscious environment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment in assigned area under the guidance of higher-level production mechanics
- Maintain open, accurate communication with other maintenance employees as well as production, qc and safety management
- Complete all assigned work orders completely and accurately document and returned to planner all information describing the completion of the work order
- Perform technical maintenance tasks under close supervision
- Ability to make building repairs (i.e., sheetrock, plumbing, fixtures, switches, carpentry, etc.)
- Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories
- Work with production teams to identify process improvements wherever possible
- Perform all work in a safe manner following all company's safety policies and Procedures
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 4-5 years' experience within a Manufacturing Environment - Recent experience in the food industry is strongly preferred
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Trouble shooting abilities in Electrical (Relay Logic), General building electrical systems
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: One location
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 hourly
Schedule
- Sunday - Thursday 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
- Overtime required as needed
- Weekend and shift availability for coverage

Experience
