Job summary

Carmeuse is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician in Virginia, Minnesota to ensure effective maintenance and repair of machinery in our industrial environment. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of mechanical experience along with a valid Driver’s License.

Your responsibilities will include inspecting and servicing both stationary and mobile equipment and promptly addressing any mechanical issues. Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork is essential.

This position may require weekend and on-call work, aligning with production demands.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, and service stationary and mobile equipment.
• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, cables, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
• Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.
• Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts.
• Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
• Clean and lubricate parts.
• Order replacement parts.
• Inspect completed repairs.
• Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures.
• Requisition new parts and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Safely complete other assigned training.
• Safely meet the supervisor’s standards of performance.
• Safely fill in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands.
• Safely replace or assist other workers as needed.
• Safely perform other tasks as assigned by supervision or designated lead person.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willing to work weekends and on-call hours.
• 5+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; willing and able to work rotating shifts.
