DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center in the NY area. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility and conveyance systems, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes.

You will also train junior technicians and coordinate with outside vendors to keep DC operations running smoothly. The position requires a 2-year technical degree with 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate/technical degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
• 3–5 years related maintenance experience in a DC or industrial setting.
• Familiar with LOTO and safety protocols.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment including conveyors and PLCs.
• Report spare parts usage and inventory levels to leadership.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance.
• Collaborate with external vendors for project work in DCs.
• Additional duties to support DC operations as needed.

OVERVIEW: Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
