Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment at the distribution center. The role requires hands-on work with conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and related systems, with adherence to safety standards including LOTO.

Responsibilities include reporting inventory, training junior technicians, and collaborating with vendors to complete DC projects safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year certificate in mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls is required.
• Familiar with maintenance software packages & equipment and ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards and LOTO.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory and usage to leadership to maintain supplies.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance while troubleshooting assets.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely at DCs.
• Take on other duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90.

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
