DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center. You will maintain and repair facility equipment, conveyors, PLC controls, and related assets to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You’ll document work in the asset management system, train junior technicians, and coordinate with vendors to complete projects safely and on time. A technical degree and hands-on experience with hydraulic and electrical systems are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in mechanical/electrical field required.
• Experience with welding, cutting, and plumbing preferred.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, gears and PLC controls.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

Qualifications

• Associate‘s Degree -
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range

$29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
