Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the distribution center. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment, including PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, while following PM standards and safety protocols.

The shift is 2B: Tuesday to Friday, 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM, with a base rate of $29.55/hr plus a $1/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical certificate preferred in mechanical or electrical applications.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Welding, burning, cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes and PLC controls.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Familiar with DC-specific software (Crown PM, Gage).
• LOTO experience and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

OVERVIEW

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.

• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.

Qualifications

• Associate‘s Degree -
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range

$29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
