Job Overview

Spencer Concrete & Excavation is seeking a hands-on, dependable Small Engine mechanic to support the operational health of our equipment fleet. This essential role involves performing routine maintenance and light mechanical repairs on small engines and heavy equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on construction equipment and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and repair small engines (e.g., generators, compactors, pumps).
• Conduct routine inspections and keep maintenance logs.
• Identify parts and tools required for repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
• Collaborate with operators and project teams to diagnose equipment issues.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience with small engine repair and basic mechanical maintenance.
• Familiarity with construction equipment maintenance (preferred).
• Ability to read equipment manuals and follow technical instructions.
