Job summary

Electroswitch in Rockland, MA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our manufacturing campus. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate prioritized repairs with the Facilities Manager.

The role includes assisting with machine relocations, minor carpentry, and liaising with outside vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of related maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, and building maintenance systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to diagnose problems, prioritize repairs, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and related facility equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance and complete work orders.
• Communicate work-order status and priorities to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with machine relocations, minor carpentry, painting, and other repairs as needed.
• Identify, obtain, fabricate, or install replacement parts as appropriate; submit purchasing requests for approval.
• Assist with opening and securing company buildings; maintain maintenance records and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.
• Assist the Facilities Manager in coordinating with outside maintenance vendors as needed.
• Support snow removal and seasonal facility upkeep as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with facility housekeeping as needed.
• Work extended hours when required by operational needs.

Job description

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support the upkeep of company facilities, building systems, and manufacturing support equipment. Respond to maintenance requests, perform routine and preventive maintenance, and coordinate priorities with the Facilities Manager.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and related facility equipment, including compressed air, pneumatics, ventilation and dust collection, HVAC, and building safety systems within authorized scope.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment problems, and complete assigned maintenance work orders.
• Communicate equipment issues, work-order status, workload, scheduling needs, and priorities to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with machinery relocations, building and departmental moves, minor carpentry, painting, and other facility repairs as needed.
• Identify, obtain, fabricate, or install replacement parts as appropriate; submit purchasing requests for approval.
• Assist with opening and securing company buildings as directed; maintain accurate maintenance records and follow company safety procedures.
• Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager in coordinating with outside maintenance vendors as needed.
• Support snow removal and seasonal facility upkeep as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with facility-related housekeeping incidental to maintenance work.
• Work extended hours when required by operational needs.
