Job Description: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical equipment at the facility. This position keeps the facility operating, repairing any problems discovered, and performing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical duties required on processing/storage facility and equipment.
• Complete the preventative maintenance checklist and sheet metal fabrication installation.
• Install and repair pneumatics, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Repair processing equipment, structures, and assist with facility breakdowns.
• Apply preventative measures to the building and equipment to reduce future risk and problems.
• Resolve potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Perform general repairs, installations, and routine maintenance on plant equipment as required or scheduled.
• Perform a variety of different tasks during non-production periods.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) desirable.
• Good mechanical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to assess priorities of work area, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with direct reports and with employees in other departments.
