Mondelēz International in California is seeking a Maintenance Technician to independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment, or system using autonomous maintenance standards to improve line performance.

You will work with a team to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale targets, support AM/PM tasks, and participate in CMMS enhancements. Education: High School Diploma/GED; 2 years PM and welding/machining experience; shift flexibility for 2nd or 3rd shift.

You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

What you need to know about this position:

You independently operate and maintain at least one process; equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

Education / Certifications: High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Job specific requirements:
  • At least 2 years of Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting experience (required)
  • 2 years' experience in Welding and Machining skills (Required).
  • Flexibility to work in 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Any Manufacturing production or high-speed production environment experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of conveyers or bakery experience (preferred).
  • Participate in groups or teams to enhance the reliability and productivity of equipment and processes.
  • Assist enhancements to the computerized maintenance system.
  • Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Union based Facility - Experience (preferred).
Work Schedule:

Willing to work in 2nd (3 PM to 11 PM) or 3rd (11 PM to 7 AM) shift.

Flexibility required - Ability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The following physical demands are examples of duties that may be performed:
  • Climb steps.
  • Lift 50 pounds and maintain balance.
  • Ability to perform duties in extreme varying temperatures.
  • Crawl over, under, and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties.
  • Work from ladders and lifts.

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly wage for this position is $38.93/hour. The position offers healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, and paid time off, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements.
