Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances in Pryor, OK is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, valves, motors, piping, and turbines. You will diagnose issues from specs and manuals, align rotating equipment, and support preventive lubrication, welding, and fabrication.

Role requires lockout/tagout execution, CMMS documentation, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing industrial mechanical maintenance and repair on rotating and stationary equipment.
  • Knowledge of pumps, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics, valves, bearings, and piping systems.
  • Ability to read equipment specifications, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience using hand tools, precision instruments, welding equipment, and machine shop tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of pumps, compressors, valves, motors, piping, turbines, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using technical docs and manufacturer literature to restore safe operation.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance including lubrication, filter replacement, gasket installation, and seal repair.
  • Align rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser tools.
  • Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, rigging, and metalworking for projects.
  • Execute lockout/tagout procedures and verify safe isolation before work.
  • Document work in CMMS and review equipment history.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and engineers for safe, effective completion.
  • Mentor less-experienced maintenance personnel and promote safety culture.

Where You'll Make a Difference


  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of pumps, compressors, valves, motors, piping, turbines, and other mechanical equipment.

  • Diagnose equipment issues using technical documentation, specifications, and manufacturer literature to restore safe and efficient operation.

  • Utilize computerized maintenance systems to document work, order materials, and review equipment history.

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and engineers to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.

  • Support a culture of safety while mentoring and guiding less-experienced maintenance personnel.


What Makes You the Right Fit


  • Experience performing industrial mechanical maintenance and repair activities on rotating and stationary equipment.

  • Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, valves, bearings, and piping systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.

  • Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, welding equipment, and mechanical shop machinery.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to safely perform rigging, lifting, and equipment installation activities.

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer applications.

  • Commitment to safety, including lockout/tagout practices and use of personal protective equipment.

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.

  • Experience in chemical, manufacturing, industrial processing, or related production environments.

  • Experience with laser alignment, precision measurement, and predictive maintenance techniques.

  • Certification or formal training in welding, millwright, pipefitting, or a related mechanical trade.
