About the Opportunity:

• Job Title: Maintenance Technician

• Pay Rate Range:$29/Hour

• Location:Prior Lake, MN

• Schedule: 2nd Shift, M-F, 2pm - 10pm.

• Position Type:Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. At least 1 year of technical education or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical fields is required
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability
3. Commitment to learning new skills and mastering new competencies
4. Tools: employees supply their own industrial-grade tools (list provided)
5. Prior LOTO training and forklift certification desired (we will re-certify)
6. Strong reading, writing, record keeping and verbal communication skills
7. Excellent attendance
8. Standing, walking 8+ hours per day
9. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching
10. Frequent repetitive wrist and hand motion
11. Some overhead lifting and reaching
12. Ability to lift +/- 50 pounds
13. Ability to work at heights using ladders and lifts
14. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, step stools
15. Ability to tolerate hot and cold temperatures
16. Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Preventive maintenance on production equipment including conveyors, ovens, and freezers
2. Troubleshooting and repairing motors, conveyors, belts, pneumatic systems and more
3. Utilizing diagrams, sketches, manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specs
4. Removing defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools
5. Examining the form and texture of parts for wear
6. Maintaining equipment, parts, and supply inventories
7. Compliance with food industry GMP's, Quality Assurance and Safe Practices
8. Accurate documentation to meet stringent SQF record keeping requirements
9. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
