Job summary

Select Medical's SSH-Dallas campus is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general mechanical and preventive tasks, inspections, services, repairs and overhauls on hospital equipment. You will install new equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specs, codes, and safety policies.

You will coordinate projects and ensure on-time, quality outcomes in alignment with city/state codes and JACHO.

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance, repair, and safety procedure knowledge.
• Experience with hospital equipment a plus.
• High attention to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical and preventive tasks, inspections, services, repairs and overhauls on hospital equipment as directed.
• Install new equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specs and applicable codes and safety policies.
• Coordinate and inspect projects to meet quality standards within approved timelines and comply with city/state codes and JACHO.
• Carry out routine and specific assignments to keep physical plant and equipment safe and compliant with policies and regulatory codes.

• You will be responsible for performing general mechanical and preventative tasks, as well as performing inspections, services, repairs and overhauls on equipment of the hospital as directed.
• Installing all new equipment and systems as assigned and ensuring that installations and operations comply with all manufacturer’s specifications with all applicable codes, regulations and the hospital’s safety policies.
• Coordinating and inspecting projects, ensuring that they are meeting quality standards in an approved time frame and that they comply with city/state codes as well as JACHO.
• Carrying out routine and specific assignments to ensure that the physical plant and assigned equipment are in safe operating condition and in compliance with applicable Hospital policies and with regulatory and/or accrediting codes and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required.
