Job summary

Best Block is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Phoenix team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and maintaining plant equipment to ensure reliable operations.

You will dismantle and reassemble machinery, assist in equipment replacements, fabricate parts to spec, and support cost-control initiatives while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Drug testing and a physical exam may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, PLC and Conveyor systems.
• Root-cause analysis and implementing solutions.
• Experience in industrial maintenance or electrical work with safety procedures.
• Offer may be contingent upon drug test and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Implement a Preventative Maintenance Program with accessible documentation.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Dismantle and reassemble plant and machinery equipment.
• Assist in selecting and installing replacement equipment.
• Fabricate replacement parts to specification.
• Evaluate cost control measures.
• Perform safety inspections per OSHA, EPA and company policies.

About The Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic with Best Block you are responsible for:

• Implementing a Preventative Maintenance Program (with documentation and record keeping that is easily accessible)
• Diagnosing Mechanical Problems and Determining how to Correct Them
• Dismantling and Reassembling Plant and Machinery Equipment
• Assisting in Selection and Installation of Replacement Equipment
• Constructing Replacement Parts to Specification (Fabrication)
• Evaluating Cost Control
• Safety Inspections (for OSHA, EPA, and Company Compliance)

About You

The ideal candidate will be able to:

• Conduct Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, PLC, and Conveyor System Diagnoses
• Conduct Root-Cause Analysis and Implementing Solutions
• (They also will have some experience in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical work and be aware of the safety procedures needed to conduct themselves ethically, in this role.)
