Job summary

Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic to join our building services team in a skilled nursing facility on a temporary basis. You will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure resident safety and comfort.

The role covers gas, plumbing, electrical, electronic, and HVAC systems, as well as painting and grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of apprenticeship training in one or more trades or four years of experience in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, masonry, or one of the mechanical trades.
• Must have a clean and active NYS Driver's License.
• Must have and maintain a valid FDNY certificate of fitness.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Maintenance Mechanic

Full Time

The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park NY, is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic to join our building services team in our skilled nursing facility on a temporary basis. A vital and important part of the team you will ensure the facility and its equipment are in good working condition to ensure the comfort and safety of our residents.

Position Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanic at Parker Jewish Institute, you will be responsible for general building repairs and preventative maintenance assignments. An essential part of the building services team, you will carry out assignments, inspections and maintenance of gas, plumbing, electrical, electronic, HVAC systems, painting, grounds maintenance, as well as other assignments as needed.

Position Requirements
