This position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment and machinery. Assist with maintenance of building facilities as requested by management. This position works first shift with hours. In this role, you'll make an impact by:

• Maintaining the condition of production and facility equipment as per regulations.
• Ensuring optimal operation of all production equipment and machinery through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs.
• Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing building systems including lighting, HVAC, wastewater, steam, compressed air, water systems, electrical, foam, and other systems.
• Attending meetings and completing work orders promptly.
• Seeking education and skills improvement opportunities.
• Completing logs and paperwork accurately.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic mathematical skills, including metric conversions.
• Knowledge of boiler fundamentals, HVAC operations, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics.
• Working knowledge of computers and basic controls.
• Experience with hand tools for assembly and repair.
• Self-motivated with good prioritization skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift license.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Education typically includes a high school diploma or GED, a technical certificate, and 1-3 years related experience.

Working conditions may include exposure to wet, humid, dusty, loud environments, and extreme cold (-55°C). Personal protective equipment and uniforms are required. Respirator use is mandatory when handling hazardous materials, with restrictions on facial hair to ensure a proper seal.

Physical demands include standing, handling objects, occasional walking, sitting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs with assistance, and working in challenging environments.
