Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. This role requires strong electrical tasks, including wiring, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. An ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems on automated production machinery. Additionally, he or she will identify and correct failures in industrial machines such as fully automated processing tanks, filters and packaging machinery. Duties
- Performs scheduled P.M.’s on equipment and records all necessary data as required and in accordance with Company SOP’s and cGMP’s.
- Assists in installation and retrofit of facilities equipment in accordance with Company SOP’s and cGMP’s.
- Is on call periodically to monitor and respond to facility and manufacturing equipment repairs and issues.
- Completes required paperwork and documentation, work orders and GMP documents in a clear, accurate and in a timely manner. Develop and encourage good interpersonal working relationships among Facilities staff and with other customer departments (internal and external
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuitry, low voltage DC and 3-phase 480VAC.
- Using volt and amp meters for diagnostics of equipment
- Advanced knowledge of industrial control systems and automation.
- Understanding of industrial control systems and PLC's.
- Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and HVAC issues using precision measuring instruments and ohmmeters.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on various systems including logic controllers and high voltage equipment.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on equipment performance and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as required, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Able to effectively communicate in English written and oral.
- Reading of electrical blueprints.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuitry, low voltage DC and 3-phase 480VAC.
- Using volt and amp meters for diagnostics of equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial control systems and automation.
- Understanding of industrial control systems and PLC's.
- Able to accurately document the daily work in logbooks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- A commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean work environment is crucial.
- Relevant certifications or training in HVAC/R or industrial maintenance are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good general understandings of mechanical equipment like pumps, transmissions, etc.
- Good understanding of cGMP.
