Job summary

Astrix Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the overnight 3rd shift to support a growing team developing groundbreaking products for healthier living. This role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining automated packaging equipment.

The position is a 6-month contract to hire, with pay between $25 and $33 per hour. Experience in industrial or regulated environments and basic electrical/steam/hydraulic knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma OR Equivalent.
• Experience working within Industrial or regulated production environments.
• Experience working within food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic manufacturing is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated packaging equipment.
• Work safely with both low and high voltage circuits and diagnose electric motor, motor control and device control problems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical control and power circuits.
• Basic knowledge of typical facility and manufacturing support systems including steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration systems.
• Following GMP and plant policies.
