US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to upkeep and repair warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, high-lifts, forklifts, and batteries, ensuring smooth day and night operations. Typical schedule Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; pay $25.00 per hour with benefits starting day one.

You will review equipment reports, perform PMs, log actions, and follow safety guidelines. Experience with reading repair logs, performing basic welding, and maintaining tool areas is preferred, with

• High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
• Minimum six months mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills; able to work with little direct supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repair on warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, high-lifts, forklifts, batteries).
• Review equipment reports, log actions/repairs, and maintain repair logs per policy.
• Perform PMs on equipment and document PM logs.
• Maintain battery charging area and secure tools and equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe work environment).
• May purchase tools from vendors if authorized; perform light maintenance and basic repairs.

This keeps day and night warehouse operations functional to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of product.Join Our Community of Food People!Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMPay: $25.00 per hour.Benefits: Effective on day one of employment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to warehouse-related equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, high-lifts, forklifts, etc.) to insure that adequate machinery is available for day and night warehouse operations.Review any equipment reports submitted by warehouse associates, record actions/repairs taken, and maintains a repair log per USF policy.Perform PM’s (Preventative Maintenance) on equipment, and maintain PM log with proper documentation, per USF policy.Comply with all USF and government guidelines regarding safety when working on equipment (i.e. Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding and required documentation, safe work environment, etc.)Maintain and secure the battery-charging area, batteries and other equipment contained therein.Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area.If authorized, may purchase tools and other equipment needs from local vendors to perform required duties.Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e., replacement of light bulbs, painting, storage rack repairs, light plumbing, equipment repairs, basic drywall and concrete repairs, etc.)QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training: High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.Related Experience: A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience required.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment; welding ability; able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervisionBENEFITS START DAY ONE: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) Plan, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) life insurance and paid parental leave.
