Job summary

Randstad USA in Southern New Hampshire is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift. You will maintain conveyors, mixers, depositors, labellers and related equipment to ensure smooth production.

Hours are 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM, Monday–Friday, with overtime and weekend opportunities. Pay ranges from $29 to $39 per hour plus a $2 shift differential, and annual salary ranges from $60,320 to $83,200 with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing maintenance experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly equipment startups to ensure smooth operation.
• Set up production lines and perform necessary tooling changeovers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and service a wide range of process equipment.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance plans to maximize lifespan.
• Conduct daily inspections of refrigeration systems, utility rooms and spaces.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to GMPs, OSHA standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and work orders.

What You’ll Do

• Fix and maintain manufacturing equipment (conveyors, mixers, depositors, labellers, scales).
• Set up production lines and handle daily equipment startups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical parts (bearings, belts, chains) and electrical systems (3-phase motors, fuses, relays).
• Do daily checks on facility systems and refrigeration equipment.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and service a wide range of process equipment, including mixers, depositors,freezers,metal detectors, conveyors, shrink film machinery, printers, labelers, and scales.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance (PM) plans to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Conduct daily inspections of refrigeration systems, roof areas, utility rooms, and other critical facility spaces.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests across production departments to minimize operational disruptions.
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), OSHA standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of all repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and work orders.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• High degree of flexibility regarding working extra hours, including weekday overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Preferred:Maintenance experience specific to food manufacturing and processing equipment,Facilities Maintenance:Basic working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC,and industrial welding,Certifications or hands-on experience in wastewater operations and ammonia refrigeration systems.
