Are you a dynamic, skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a knack for problem-solving? Do you have a passion for maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal performance? If so, we invite you to join our team in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing industry. As a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a significant impact on our operations.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Mechanic, your key responsibilities will include

• Performing routine and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, including motors, and implementing effective solutions.
• Mechanical/Electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, ensuring all machinery and equipment are safe and functional.
• Working with programmable logic controllers (PLC) to automate machinery and processes.
• Responding promptly to emergency maintenance calls and performing repairs quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborating with other team members to identify potential issues and develop proactive maintenance strategies.
• Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including any parts or components used.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, in the Manufacturing industry. Food and Beverage experience a plus!
• Proven experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, motor repair, and machine maintenance.
• Proficiency in working with PLCs.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable way.
• A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and protocols.
• A relevant trade certification or equivalent would be considered an asset.
