Job summary

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Lake Zurich team. This role follows plant safety procedures and performs routine preventative maintenance to keep machines running smoothly and ensure building systems operate efficiently.

Pay starts at $22.51–$28.13 per hour, paid weekly, with a benefits package including medical, dental and vision. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm–2:30 pm, located in Lake Zurich, IL.

Qualifications

• Experience with Equipment Maintenance, Repairing, Troubleshooting, and Installation.
• Electrical and/or mechanical certifications may be required; location-specific.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Willingness to follow verbal/written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines.
• Know emergency procedures and respond to power outages, machine failures, injuries, etc.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Understand Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
• Inform supervisor of safety issues and report any incident immediately.
• Use tools from hand tools to precision testing devices.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to keep machines and buildings operating efficiently.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals.
• Order parts, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Assemble or repair wiring and electrical components.
• Support SQF food safety practices and policies.
• Assist other workers with tasks as requested.
• Follow GMPs in daily operations.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC IN LAKE ZURICH, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Lake Zurich, IL. This individual will be responsible for following plant safety procedures and guidelines, as well as performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $22.51 to $28.13/hour, paid weekly
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 2:30 pm
• Located in Lake Zurich, IL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
• Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
• Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
• Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blue prints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary
• Order parts, supplies and equipment
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, machinery and equipment
• Support company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies
• Assists other workers with specific chores as requested
• Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience with Equipment Maintenance, Repairing, Troubleshooting, Installation
• Electrical and/or mechanical certifications may be required; location specific
• Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions
• Moderate computer skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
