Job summary

Nutrius in Kingsburg, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment across the mill. This role aims to minimize downtime by promptly identifying mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities include following work orders, reading manuals, and maintaining safety while working at heights and in confined spaces. A strong mix of mechanical and electrical skills is required.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Department: Maintenance
Location: Kingsburg, CA
Full/Part-Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Regular
FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt) Shift: Nights Salary Range: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for trouble shooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the mill operation. This individual will also be responsible for minimizing down time by detecting potential mechanical and electrical problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Must have good analytical skills, able to troubleshoot and make on the spot corrections to emergency conditions
• Able to climb stairs and ladders and stairs and work safely at elevated heights of 200ft. and Confined Space
• Knowledge of fabrication, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, power transmission, and pneumatics, welding and cutting are necessary.
• Light Industrial Electric required, Hydraulics, Power Transmissions, and Pneumatic; basic computer knowledge; previous feed mill exp desired.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform related duties and/or special projects as assigned

Equipment Manual comprehension: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance, service, or operation.

Experience and Training Guidelines:

• College coursework in technical field desired
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in feed mill maintenance, industrial, or a production environment.
• MS Office – Excel, Word
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully

Position may require work outside regular business hours, including weekends, holidays and occasional travel to other company locations.
