Job summary

Nutrius, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Kingsburg, CA to support the mill operation. The role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance on all equipment.

The position requires working nights, climbing and working at heights, and strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in feed mill maintenance, industrial, or a production environment.
• College coursework in technical field desired.
• MS Office – Excel, Word proficiency is expected.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Shift: Nights

Salary Range: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for trouble shooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the mill operation. This individual will also be responsible for minimizing down time by detecting potential mechanical and electrical problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Must have good analytical skills, able to troubleshoot and make on the spot corrections to emergency conditions
• Able to climb stairs and ladders and stairs and work safely at elevated heights of 200ft. and Confined Space
• Knowledge of fabrication, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, power transmission, and pneumatics, welding and cutting are necessary.
• Light Industrial Electric required, Hydraulics, Power Transmissions, and Pneumatic; basic computer knowledge; previous feed mill exp desired.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform related duties and/or special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Competencies:

• Safety, inventory and maintenance processes and procedures
• Computer systems to create spreadsheets is a plus
• Technical and mechanical systems related to operation

Position may require work outside regular business hours, including weekends, holidays and occasional travel to other company locations.
