Job summary

Tailored Brands, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across our retail distribution center. You will work on automated and manual production systems, ensuring uptime and safe operation.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Shift flexibility and safety focus are essential to support outbound and inbound flows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics and follow instructions.
• Experience with PM/CM maintenance in a distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, assemble, repair and maintain equipment and systems in the DC.
• Maintain material handling equipment: forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, loading docks.
• Coordinate and participate in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Operate manual and powered tools for diverse equipment maintenance.
• Identify problems by observing equipment in operation and using appropriate tools.
• Maintain maintenance shop inventory of parts, tools and supplies.
• Uphold a safe working environment and teamwork in a high-volume setting.
• Be flexible with overtime, off-shifts, weekends and holidays.

We are always working to make our Company a more diverse, equitable and inclusive (DEI) place to workSchedule: Will train on 1st shift and then transition to 2nd shiftWhat You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities· Troubleshoot, diagnose, assemble, repair and maintain equipment, machinery and systems related to both automated and manual production equipment typically found in a Retail Distribution Center· Perform hands-on major and minor repairs and maintenance of material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, rolling racks, automated and mechanical conveyors, slick rail, loading dock systems, compressors, electrical and lighting panels, and other related plant equipment· Coordinate and participate in preventative (PM), predictive and corrective maintenance activities on machinery and equipment in the distribution center· Operate and use manual tools and powered-shop machinery and tools to maintain a wide variety of automated and manual equipment and machinery for proper functionality· Repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and knowledge of mechanical operations for motor driven equipment· Identify and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using necessary tools and standard practices to correct and solve maintenance problems· Maintain equipment, parts, tools, and supplies inventories in the maintenance shop· Continually maintain a safe working operation· Interact with and perform effectively in a high-volume team environment while maintaining a positive relationship with management and department staff· Support and assist in maintaining and improving the maintenance department as needed· Perform other related activities as assigned and neededWhat You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience· Must have “hands-on” maintenance experience· Strong mechanical background and equipment troubleshooting experience· Millwright, Technical, vocational or trade school education is a plus· Demonstrated mechanical skills and technical aptitude· Prior diagnostic, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance (PM) experience preferred· Familiarity with various hand and electric tools· Ability to prioritize and organize work related tasks and special projects· Must possess good communication skills· Must be able to speak, read, and understand English for purposes of performing necessary job duties· Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines· Problem solving and analytical skills required· Ability to work safely by following all maintenance department’s standard operating procedures· Flexibility and dependability are required and must be willing to work overtime, off-shift, weekends, and holidays to support production needs· Ability to work alone and in a team environment· Ability to work in a production warehouse environment with exposure to various climate conditions (warm, cold, heat) and under stressful conditions such as small and high spaces with the following repetitive physical demands: continuous standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or moreOther Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing or activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
