We are always working to make our Company a more diverse, equitable and inclusive place to work.**About the Job**The DC1 RSU Supervisor will have responsibility for all activities from processing retail products through RSU (induction through pack-out), processing retail flat products using our standard operating procedures and leading the team of employees.**What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities**The responsibilities of the DC1 RSU Supervisor include but not limited to:· Develop a daily plan around unit goals and staffing requirements for RSU.· Assign work. When assigning work ensure all priorities get the proper attention.· Ensure work through RSU is processed on a FIFO basis.· Ensure all outbound cartons on RSU are shipped within expected guidelines. Use reporting in W&H System as needed.· Audit outbound cartons daily, document results and take action as needed.· Manage any issues and product errors encountered in a timely manner.· Take inventory and order corrugation for retail at least weekly.· Communicate all corporate messages and announcements to staff in morning huddles.· Attend daily operational meetings held by Management to ensure daily plans can be met and product flow through other departments is coordinated. Coordinate tasks that cross departments as required.· Communicate job expectations and coach employees.· Responsible for ensuring employees are performing at expected rates. Work with employees as needed to ensure performance standards are achieved.· Using the MOS System monitor employee performance daily. As needed perform new time studies and adjust rates.· Cross train employees in all departments to help as volume demand dictates.· Perform payroll and employee attendance tracking weekly.· Council and discipline employees as needed.· Ensuring inventory accuracy is a priority.· Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training the new employees.· Enforce company rules and regulations as well as rules specific to the union contract. Both in your department and throughout the DC.· Develop, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures on all tasks executed within RSU· Develop the Floor Lead to run department during any missed time.· Communicate effectively to all external company departments that interact with RSU· Look for ways for continuous improvement.· Promote a clean and safe work environment. Work on safety tasks as assigned.· Performs other related duties and assignments as required.**Skills & Experience*** High School Diploma.* College a plus but not required.* Prior leadership experience of a minimum of 2 years with proven success.* Ability to work and motivate your employee team.* Ability to meet deadlines/productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.* Good attendance/punctuality record; consistently at work and on time.* Ability to learn new skills and follow directions.* Good math, counting, and problem-solving skills.* Must be customer service oriented* Good verbal and written communication skills.* Good organizational and time management skills.* Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.* Must have excellent attention to detail while maintaining accuracy.* Must maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times with the highest level of customer service.· Must be safety-conscious.· Working knowledge in the use of warehouse technology including radiofrequency (RF) scanners to perform daily functions is a plus.* Previous warehouse/distribution/production experience helpful.* Basic knowledge of computer PC skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.* Ability to work in a warehouse environment setting with physical demands that include continuous standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more.* Ability to use handling equipment and machinery including sorter systems, conveyors, RF guns, metal hooks, plastic bags, plastic packaging, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of our merchandise.* Dependable team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done and flexible in scheduling is required based on business needs (i.e.; increased hours, weekends, holidays, and volume of work, staffing shortages, etc.).**Reporting – Working Relationships**· Reports to RSU Management Department**Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands*** Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods through the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to store materials throughout the workday.
