Overview

We are seeking an eager team player for our Senior Maintenance Mechanic for our Kingland, GA location. Responsibilities include but not limited to performing a wide variety of skilled general maintenance, repair, and modification of machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems. Examination of mechanical equipment to diagnose potential future problems. Assembles and installs mechanical equipment and systems, following drawings, blueprints, and general instructions. May provide leadership to junior personnel.

Wage: $29-36/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair building and process equipment including distillation stills, general evaporating equipment, Pot Stills, cooling towers, salt towers, cookers, pumps, HVAC, and boilers.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, conducts inspections, troubleshoots, diagnoses failures & deficiencies & performs necessary corrections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair support equipment.
  • Guide Mechanics in their responsibility.
  • LOTO (lock out tag out).
  • Pump & piping installs.
  • Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Performs other assignments as assigned by management.
  • Keeps within Compliance Standards.
  • Completes and maintains all service, parts/inventory records in a timely & accurate manner.
  • Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of maintenance being performed.
  • Assures daily maintenance duties performed and communicates any problems or issues with the unit immediately upon discovery.
  • Reviews all applicable SOPs, and complete all mandatory Company and job specific training.
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules.
  • Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Inspections.
  • Familiar with electrics.

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5+ years maintenance experience in a plant or Industrial environment preferred.
  • Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: Preventive Maintenance, Installations, variety of pumps, and blowers.
  • Familiar with pressure temperature flow and level instrumentation, distillation stills, general evaporating equipment, pot stills, cooling towers, salt towers, cookers, pumps, HVAC, and boilers a plus!
  • Familiar with 480v and 3-phase.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Willing and eager to learn.
  • Great team player who can follow direction and take initiative.
  • Change direction as needed based on priorities and updates daily.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects and lifting up to 50lbs.
