Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Iowa City is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the Distribution Center to maintain and repair PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics, and electrical systems. The role requires 3–5 years of experience and an appropriate technical degree. You will work a Tue-Fri shift (5:30p–3:30a) with a $29.55/hr base plus $1/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2-year vocational certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and asset systems.
• Strong safety awareness and LOTO experience.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physical role.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

Qualifications

• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
