Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and conveyance systems, following PM standards and documenting work in our asset management system.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of maintenance experience, an Associate's degree or equivalent, and skills in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controls, and reading schematics. LOTO experience and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Welding, burning and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (Crown PM, Gage).
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements per OSHA and LOTO.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems, following PM standards.
• Report spare parts inventory levels to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance while troubleshooting assets.
• Work with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.DICK'S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements.
