Job summary

Morgan Services is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building and mechanical equipment in an industrial laundry setting. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires onsite work in Indianapolis, IN on 1st or 2nd shift with potential weekend hours. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work autonomously, and capable of passing a background check and drug

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance technician experience; must provide own tools.
• Onsite work in Indianapolis, IN; 1st or 2nd shift; some weekends.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards; ability to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining equipment (motors, conveyor system, HVAC, compressors, production machinery).
• Performing general building electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Completing Machinery & Building Maintenance Logs.
• Communicating detailed progress on projects in progress.
• Inspecting, assessing functionality, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery.
• Surveying buildings to ensure they meet health/safety standards.
• Installation or adjustments of mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Conducting general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of building & mechanical equipment used for processing in an industrial laundry setting. Candidates should possess building/ mechanical maintenance & repair knowledge, and a thorough professional mindset with the ability to troubleshoot & problem solve. Candidates should be detail-oriented w/ ability to work autonomously and comply with all health and safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Servicing/maintaining equipment (including motors, conveyor system, HVAC system, compressors, & production machinery)
• Performing general building electrical & plumbing maintenance
• Completing Machinery & Building Maintenance Logs
• Communicating detailed progress on projects in progress
• Inspecting, assessing functionality, troubleshooting, & repairing production machinery
• Surveying buildings to ensure they are consistent with health/safety standards
• Installation or adjustments of mechanical parts using hand & machine tools
• Conducting general upkeep procedures & other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must have 2+ years' maintenance technician experience & provide own tools
• Ability to work 1st Shift (3a-11:30a* flex) OR 2nd Shift (10a-8p) onsite daily in the Indianapolis, IN facility and some weekends when needed
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, & industrial control systems
• Working knowledge of hand & stationary tools
• Good communication, time management & problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift & manipulate heavy equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards & regulations
• Secondary education/degree or certification in mechanical maintenance technology or relevant field a plus!
• Boiler technical skills a plus!
• Must be able & willing to pass a background check & drug screen (hair)
