Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance duties across our distribution center.

You will maintain power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, and clamp attachments, and conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of mechanical experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb frequently and 100 lb occasionally.

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with heat, cold, and noise.
• Proficient with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and WMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of power equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, clamp attachments, and other tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance on power equipment.
• Carry out general warehouse maintenance and minor repairs.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Operate power equipment safely after training and follow lock out/tag out procedures.
• Support flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, holidays and on-call requests.
