Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of general mechanical, preventative maintenance, electrical and troubleshooting experience.
  • Industrial manufacturing environment with loud equipment, moving mechanical parts and very hot work areas.

Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift)

Salary Range: $30.00 To $37.00 Hourly

The Maintenance Mechanicis a critical member of the EDCO Products manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment at our Hopkins, MN facility. This hands-on role troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and support production goals. Working closely with production and maintenance team members, the Maintenance Mechanic plays a key role in driving equipment reliability, workplace safety, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is regularly scheduled Monday through Thursday, from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Maintenance:

  • Utilize electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control knowledge to perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on machines, tooling, equipment and building/facilities
  • Utilize CMMS (maintenance management system) to prioritize tasks, investigate prior work on equipment, document completed work and shape future preventative maintenance requirements
  • Promote and participate in a culture of continuous improvement; focusing on safety, quality and reliability of our equipment and processes
  • Work cross functionally with other maintenance team members and operations personnel to ensure we EDCO Operations can meet customer needs
  • Performing all duties while maintaining strict compliance to internal and regulatory safety requirements, such as OSHA standards; Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot works and PPE policy
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
