Job Description

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a chemical manufacturing company, is seeking to hire an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. This position will perform routine repairs and installation of equipment to ensure minimal disruption to site operations.

Pay Rate: $33.20/hr + shift differential

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3-11:30pm

Essential Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs and activities as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform pipefitting layout and installation, including repairs to existing equipment.
• Conduct electrical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation, and controls.
• Weld pipes, non-coded tanks, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform rigging work for the installation and relocation of equipment.
• Complete carpentry and masonry tasks as required.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), OSHA, and company procedures.
• Ensure housekeeping and sanitation standards are met.
• Utilize and enter data into the computerized maintenance management system (SAP).

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3-4 years of general mechanical experience in pipefitting, welding, or equipment repair.
• Mechanical ability and electrical aptitude, with vocational or trade school certificates in welding, plumbing, pipefitting, or electrical areas.
• Certification to operate a forklift is required.
• Computer skills; willingness to cross-train in other specialized crafts within the Maintenance department.
• Dependable, with effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions, good attendance, and willingness to work overtime.
