Job summary

Flex-O-Glass, a long‑standing plastics manufacturer in Dixon, IL, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to support our plant operations. You will maintain production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair machinery to keep processes running efficiently.

The role requires five years of maintenance and/or electrical experience in an industrial setting, the ability to read schematics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of maintenance and/or electrical experience in industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends and overtime if needed.
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and written on any outstanding issues or concerns.
• Ideally possess technical degree and maintenance experience in plastics industry a plus.

Our company is currently searching for someone to join our maintenance team as a Maintenance Mechanic who will work to provide support across our plant to ensure machine efficiencies. This position will work within a team of other mechanical staff and will be based in our Dixon, IL facility. This role will require the selected candidate to be in office Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Additionally may be on‑call during off hours and weekends as needed.
