Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades seeks an experienced electrical maintenance technician to diagnose and repair faults in three-phase power systems and control circuits. You will inspect and maintain mechanical components, climb to elevated equipment, and coordinate with production to schedule repairs.

You will read schematics, work with CMMS, and adhere to safety protocols while supporting 24/7 operations. Overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with electrical maintenance apprenticeship or technical training.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance in manufacturing or 24/7 operations.
  • Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, motor controls, and industrial components.
  • Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints; forklift experience helpful.
  • Willing to work overtime to support production.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in three-phase power systems and control circuits.
  • Inspect, replace, and maintain gaskets and mechanical components for optimal performance and safety.
  • Climb ladders and access elevated equipment to conduct inspections and installations.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering to schedule maintenance and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on status, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements while performing tasks.
  • Work overtime as needed to support continuous manufacturing operations.

DIRECT HIRE:

Working Location: Davenport, IA.

Pay: $21hr - $26hr

Shift: Dayshift, M - F

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in three-phase power systems and control circuits to minimize equipment downtime
  • Inspect, replace, and maintain gaskets and other mechanical components to ensure optimal machine performance and safety
  • Climb ladders and access elevated equipment safely to conduct inspections, repairs, and installations as required
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and respond promptly to emergency repair needs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment status, repairs, and parts inventory
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance tasks
  • Work overtime as needed to support continuous manufacturing operations and meet production deadlines
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an electrical maintenance apprenticeship or technical training program
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or commercial laundry environment with 24/7 operations
  • Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, motor controls, and industrial electrical components
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, previous certifications helpful but not required. We offer training & certification
  • Experience working with three-phase electrical systems required
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces safely
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with gasket installation & replacement
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Experience working with conveyor systems and industrial pumps in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance including gasket replacement and alignment procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours including overtime to support production needs
  • Basic welding or fabrication skills
