Qualifications

• 2-3 years heavy mechanical background.
• Ability to set up, operate and repair industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical and pressurized air systems.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Physically able to perform the job tasks.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Program shop floor equipment.
• Evaluate and select new equipment to support the manufacturing process incl. ROI analysis.
• Set up and adjust machines as needed.
• Responsible for spare parts inventory on production equipment.
• Layout and set-up of changes involving power, air, water and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a maintenance mechanic position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

The maintenance mechanic keeps the building and equipment in good repair by repairing a variety of machines, equipment and building functions.

The hours are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday.

The salary is based on experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis recommended by machine manufacturers and needs
• Program shop floor equipment
• Evaluate and select new equipment to support the manufacturing process including ROI analysis
• Set up and adjust machines as needs dictate
• Responsible for spare parts inventory on production equipment
• Layout and set-up of changes involving power, air water and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
