Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Distribution Center in Corbettsville, NY. Shift 2B: Tue–Fri 5:30pm–3:30am; Rate: $29.55/hr + $1/hr shift dif. Starting pay reflects location and experience.

Learn and apply PM standards, repair conveyors and PLCs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing facility equipment, documenting work in the asset management system, guiding junior technicians, and coordinating with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance/repair.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage).
• Able to read & understand electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness and LOTO experience.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements including LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance while troubleshooting and repairing assets.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
