Job Summary

The Mechanic is expected to be proficient in all IP safety requirements, including LOTT, Arc Flash, Hot Work, Radar and Lockout Exception Forms. They must possess job‑specific skills for all monthly PM inspections and provide maintenance support to all production equipment at the Columbus plant. The Mechanic should be competent in mechanical skills such as pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, and lubrication, and should begin developing fundamental electrical troubleshooting skills (fuses, motors, etc.). The role requires demonstrating job‑specific knowledge and leadership skills during major projects such as roll changes.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

• At least five years of industrial mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Success in safety, attendance, and quality of work.
• Maintenance experience in the corrugated industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics.
• Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to fully cross‑train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
• Willing and able to work all shifts, call‑ins, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Able to work with a computerized maintenance management system.
