Solventum is seeking Maintenance Mechanic candidates to join our team in Charlotte NC!

• Starting Pay: $30.16 - $33.94/hour (varies based on experience)

Solventum Purification & Filtration business

We are pleased to announce that Solventum has entered into a definitive agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, receipt of regulatory approvals, and country specific information and consultation needs where required. • Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving mechanical equipment and components.
• Maintaining and improving hydraulic pumps, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps, pneumatic diaphragm pumps.
• Performing Preventive, Predictive, and Emergency Maintenance.
• Following the maintenance work management process, which includes utilizing the maintenance management software to identify equipment problems, obtain parts, document findings, track labor hours and material on jobs, capture repair history, etc.
• Contributing to Manufacturing Conscious Engineering by participating in development and coordination of engineering projects, including design, procurement and installation of new equipment and modification of existing.
• Performing visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and testing of incoming materials based on inspection plans, workmanship standards, technical drawings and test methods.
• Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
  
  

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Associate degree AND one (1) year of Maintenance Mechanic experience
  
  

OR

• High School Diploma/GED AND five (5) years of Maintenance Mechanic experience
  
  

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• One (1) year of Maintenance experience in an Industrial/manufacturing setting
• Ability to work overtime as needed
  
  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
