H.B. Fuller is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 1st shift in Chagrin Falls, OH. The role supports preventative maintenance, collaborates with engineers, and keeps production equipment in safe, reliable condition.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance experience, PLC/HMI troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. OSHA 10 preferred; cross-functional teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of technical training and maintenance experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting of pumps, mixers and general machinery.
• Experience with PLC and HMI troubleshooting.
• Read P&IDs and technical drawings preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, lifts and hoists; work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, work instructions, and high‑hazard task procedures.
• Maintain and enhance preventative maintenance programs.
• Complete documentation for repairs, purchases, audits, and compliance activities.
• Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and utilities maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Install new machinery and support commissioning processes.
• Train team members in basic maintenance practices.

This role supports the plant’s maintenance program by performing routine preventative maintenance, partnering with engineers on project implementation, and ensuring equipment remains in safe and reliable operating condition.
