Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our MD Cambridge facility. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on aseptic processing and packaging equipment, troubleshoot diverse mechanical and electrical issues, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

The role requires at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (or an associate degree/technical certification) and the ability to work a 12‑hour continental shift, including nights, holidays,

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, or aseptic processing environment.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field with applicable maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour continental shift schedule, including nights, holidays, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on aseptic processing and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related issues to restore equipment operation safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Support the maintenance of automated production systems, including PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, servo-driven systems, process control equipment, conveyors, cartoners, case packers, and palletizers.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and preventive maintenance records accurately and timely.
  • Partner with Production and Reliability teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvements and increased reliability.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including Safety, Food Safety, GMP, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in technical training and cross-functional development opportunities as required.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on aseptic processing and packaging equipment.

Pay Range: $31.98/hr to $47.44
