NIST is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to help maintain a safe, functional, and reliable research campus. This position supports year-round operations by maintaining and repairing irrigation systems, grounds, buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure and by supporting landscape care and snow removal. There is no specific length or level of experience requirements. The applicant's overall background of experience, education and training must clearly demonstrate the ability to perform maintenance mechanic worker duties, such as those described in the duties section of this announcement, without more than normal supervision. Applicants must have experience in irrigation systems, carpentry and plumbing.

A valid state Driver's License is required for this position.
