Maintenance Mechanic

International Paper’s Biglerville, PA Corrugated Box Plant, located at 136 E. York Street, Biglerville, PA, is accepting online applications for a Maintenance Mechanic.

Position Details:

• Second Shift: 6PM-6AM
• Schedule: 4 days on, followed by 4 days off, 6PM-6AM
• Starting Rate: $30.80/hr
• Responsibilities include maintaining plant equipment and facilities in optimal condition, such as:
• Scheduled preventative maintenance and addressing emergency/breakdown issues (lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, observing operations, vibrations & noise levels)
• Following all safety rules and practices
• Consulting equipment manuals and technical literature
• Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors
• Using measurement and testing equipment accurately
• Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system repairs and installations
• Operating the boiler safely
• Maintaining comprehensive maintenance records
• Troubleshooting and solving problems
• Collaborating with team members
• Reporting issues to supervision
• Performing additional maintenance tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Successful completion of online Non-Technical and Technical General Maintenance Tests, followed by an interview
• Pre-employment health assessment, drug screening, and background check required
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience
• Ability to learn and follow instructions
