Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support Facilities Operations & Maintenance at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, GA. The role involves ensuring building systems and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently and reliably in a fully onsite environment.

The candidate will perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and execute repairs across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related areas, while maintaining safety, compliance and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in multiple skilled trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and SOPs.
• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong safety compliance and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems (motors, fans, pumps, plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical).
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently per SOPs and safety standards.
• Repair, replace, and adjust doors, lighting, fixtures, and ceilings/floors as needed.
• Maintain and service custodial and maintenance equipment; lubrication and minor repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and after-hours call-backs as needed.
• Prepare inspection reports, complete work orders, and document activities.

Maintenance Mechanic – JLL

JLL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support Facilities Operations & Maintenance at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, GA. Working under the direction of the Lead Engineer and/or Operations Manager, this role is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled maintenance and repair tasks to ensure building systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high-quality, compliant, and well-functioning facility environment. This is a fully onsite position.

What your day‑to‑day will look like:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance inspections on building systems including motors, fans, pumps, plumbing, HVAC components, and basic electrical systems.
• Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently in accordance with SOPs and safety standards.
• Repair, replace, and adjust building fixtures such as doors, hardware, lighting, ceiling and floor tiles, and restroom components.
• Maintain and service custodial and maintenance equipment, including lubrication, belt replacement, and minor mechanical repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests, emergencies, and after‑hours call‑backs as needed.
• Prepare inspection reports, complete work orders, and document maintenance activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of mechanical spaces and work areas, and assist with inventory tracking and supply ordering.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in commercial building Operations & Maintenance.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience in multiple skilled trades, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and responding to corrective maintenance issues.
• Strong attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team‑based, regulated environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime, respond to call‑backs, and provide coverage as operational needs require.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with work order systems and maintenance documentation.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems and building automation components.
• Experience maintaining custodial or floor care equipment.
• OSHA safety training or general safety compliance experience.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to perform light painting, drywall repair, and minor cosmetic repairs.
