Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to maintain hospital systems including generators, switchgear, chillers, steam boilers, med gas lines, hospital beds and plumbing. The role requires strong preventive maintenance and hands-on repair skills in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of mechanical experience, hospital or industrial background, and the ability to read drawings, troubleshoot electrical systems, and perform general maintenance tasks

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of boilers and steam trap repairs.
• Read as-built and schematic drawings and interpret the drawings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of 5 years extensive mechanical background or equivalent experience in a related field required.
• Five years hospital or industrial experience or equivalent experience in a related field required.
• Must be capable of handling general maintenance repairs, such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and any other mechanical repairs, as well as preventive maintenance functions.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic III will have experince with hospital generators and switch gear. Chillers and steam boilers, Ice machine repairs, med gas lines repairs, hospital bed repair, plumbing repair, cast iron, copper, pvc pipe and toilet replacement.

• Electrical repairs to light ballast electrical outlets and receptacles.
• Ability to trouble shoot air handlers, exhaust fans, and in room heat coils required.
• Knowledge of boilers and steam trap repairs.
• Ability to trouble all utility systems Plant Operations is responsible for maintaining.
• Ability to read as-built and schematic drawings and interpret the drawings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

This position can be physically demanding at times. Corrected vision, normal hearing. Ability to communicate in writing and verbally. This position will require standing, lifting, walking, and kneeling for extended periods of time push/pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 75lbs. Ability to adapt and react during stressful situations.
