What You'll Do

The Maintenance Manager will coordinate and conduct performance, functional, and surveillance testing of plant systems and components, comparing data against established standards to assess component wear, malfunction, and repair or replacement needs, while working to continually improve plant equipment performance. The Maintenance Manager directs the activities of maintenance department personnel to ensure generating requirements and plant efficiency are maintained in compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards, and ensures facility work orders are completed and closed out using the CMMS (Maximo). This person will assist the General Manager in developing annual maintenance budgets, oversee the site CMMS program to schedule work, prioritize work orders, maintain inventory, and procure parts and materials, and provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for the maintenance team. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the investigation of plant problems, incidents, accidents, and unusual events with follow up recommendations and reports, conducting inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment during forced and annual outages, and providing technical support in preparing specifications, evaluating bid proposals, and monitoring contractor work for QA/QC compliance during outages. This role also coordinates with Corporate Engineering and maintains external contact with maintenance and engineering firms, manufacturer representatives, and vendors, along with frequent internal contact with shift supervisors, technicians, and plant operations and maintenance personnel.
