Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring Products is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee a manufacturing maintenance team for carpet underlay production. The role focuses on reliable equipment, safe operations, and continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in industrial maintenance, hands-on tool use, and experience with hydraulics, PLCs, and CMMS. Willingness to lead capital projects and support on-site operations is required.

Qualifications

10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.required.
Proven experience leading and managing maintenance teams.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on use of power tools (grinders, drills, saws).
Solid experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, sprockets, and chains.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance team focused on safety and excellence.
Oversee maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance programs.
Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
Plan and execute maintenance and capital projects to enhance processes.
Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance schedules.
Partner cross-functionally with production and engineering to solve equipment challenges.
Champion safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
