Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring Products is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance team and support the carpet underlay manufacturing process. You’ll ensure machines operate safely and efficiently while leading a team to improve reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Proven experience leading and managing maintenance teams.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on use of power tools.
Solid experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, sprockets, and chains.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Experience operating or willingness to become certified on lift trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety and dependable attendance.
Must supply own tools.
Flexibility to support business needs, including occasional Saturdays.
Knowledge of PLC systems, troubleshooting and modifications.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop an established maintenance team.
Oversee maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance programs.
Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
Plan and execute maintenance and capital projects.
Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance schedules.
Partner with production and engineering teams to solve equipment challenges.
Champion safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
