Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead and coordinate activities related to preventive maintenance, continuous optimization, and improvement of production equipment and the physical plant. The role focuses on minimizing machine downtime, ensuring safety, and supervising the maintenance team.

Principal Responsibilities

• Ensure a safety-first culture and support safety standards deployment
• Manage and develop maintenance staff, conduct performance reviews, and create growth plans
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance programs
• Prioritize plant activities related to breakdowns, projects, and PMs
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct Management of Change reviews for new and existing equipment
• Manage on-call maintenance programs to minimize downtime
• Oversee work order management using Hydra MOC software
• Maintain spare parts inventory and procurement
• Manage maintenance expenditures and budgets
• Supervise contractor activities and project execution
• Plan and manage shutdown maintenance
• Participate in safety and quality audits
• Report on KPIs and safety compliance
• Support safety programs such as Lock-out Tag out, Hot work, Confined Spaces, and Grounding

Qualifications & Experience

• College or university degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related experience
• Trade licenses (Electrician or Millwright) or Project Management certification are assets
• 5+ years of maintenance leadership in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and maintenance software
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
